Construction Health & Safety Inspection and Audits
Clients and Contractors have a responsibility to ensure that their projects are undertaken safely. If they feel that their contractors are not performing as they should be or are unsure what their performance is like, we can assist them in completing their projects without incident or injury by reporting to them the good and the bad on their projects.
Evidencing Contractor Competence
Clients remain responsible for various actions as they have been deemed to employ competent contractors. The HSE Fee for Intervention scheme can cost them £129 per hour for any contraventions or breaches of legislation by them or their contractors that may be identified by a site visit by HSE. A typical letter following a visit by the HSE can cost £1,000. This fee would include time on site, investigation of contraventions and issue of the letter. After that it could increase dependant on the client/contractor response.
Some contraventions may be taken to court and heavier fines and getting a reputation of being an unsafe client or contractor could follow as all cases are reported on the HSE website. Our service could help prevent this and be a cheaper outcome.

What's included with our Construction Site Health & Safety Inspections and Audits?
Our construction site inspection and audits will include visits as deemed required by you.
All safety inspection and audits will be undertaken by fully qualified, experienced health and safety consultants and will include as a minimum the following:
- General site information review, observations and comments
- Observations of activities on site
- Review and validation of site documentation
- Inspection of welfare facilities
- Suitability review of site signage
- Adequacy of first aid facilities
- Review of site security
- Suitability of personal protective equipment requirements
- House keeping observations
- Presence of trip and fall safety systems

- Incident, Injury & Accident Procedures
The safety inspection and audit will include a full report with evidential photos issued to you within 48 hours. Any immediate health and safety requirements will be advised to the site manager for action immediately.
Do we have the technical competence to undertake construction site health & safety inspection and audits?
All our health & Safety consultants as a minimum must hold Incorporated Membership (IMaPS) and membership of either IIRSM (International Institute of Risk and Safety Management or IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health).
It is a fundamental requirement that all our consultants have an understanding of the design process as well as construction, and possess relevant professional and educational qualifications.
