As a business owner in the modern workplace, it is stressful and time consuming to stay up to date with the legal responsibilities of running a business.

For it’s not just about looking after your staff financially or keeping your clients happy. It is vitally important to ensure that your workplace is a safe and compliant environment for all.

Here at Acorn Safety Services, we are proud to be able to offer fire and legionella risk management as an outsourced service, meaning you can delegate the task to the experts.

We do things differently

There are many health and safety organisations out there, but Acorn Safety Services are proud to be different.

Unlike many other health and safety consultancies, we always put the needs of our clients first. We see health and safety through their eyes, designing innovative products and services to suit their individual needs.

We are not afraid of advances in technology and use these to our advantage in order to provide the best possible service.

We embrace innovation

This year, we’ve invested £25,000 in developing our own digital portal, Alphatracker, giving clients access to their health and safety documents and enabling them to keep track of their records, annual audits and assessments, and legal obligations.

Alphatracker not only houses reports and other health and safety records and paperwork for our clients, our team can also use it internally create bespoke reports such as fire and legionella risk assessments and a number of other health and safety reports. Alternatively, clients can run any report they want in an Excel format.

The portal is free of charge to clients and is easy to navigate, taking away the hassle of managing compliance. We can also do it for you while giving you the access to check at any time.

Our clients can login to their own bespoke dashboard and see instantly any actions they need to take, what annual assessments are due and when any planned visits or appointments are taking place. It also houses any previous reports or paperwork so the client and anyone on their team can find them quickly and easily – even when they are out of the office.

As Alphatrackeris both an app and can be accessed by logging in on a desktop computer, our clients can access all of the information out on site on a phone or tablet, as well as at the office on a PC or laptop.

We’re specialists

Do you know your responsibilities when it comes to fire protection or legionella prevention? Not only do we know the law, but we know how to make your business compliant with it. Running a business is stressful so let us eliminate added hassle by choosing to outsource the role of competent health and safety person. We are able to look at the bigger picture, ensuring your business is more proactive and less reactive when it comes to compliance, ensuring you’re prepared for any eventuality.

If you don’t already have somebody in your team with the knowledge and experience required to tackle complex compliance issues, you should consider outsourcing.

We’re a one-stop shop

We are experts in our field and have very knowledgeable staff who can carry out both fire and legionella risk assessments simultaneously.

We believe our business model is unique, with three specialist experts heading up and managing their own divisions and teams – Legionella, Fire Safety, and Health & Safety.

This means we can offer a complete range of health and safety services designed to take our clients from non-compliance to compliance quickly, supported at all times by a dedicated health and safety consultant.

get into fire safety

How to get into Fire Safety

It used to be that there were no formal prerequisites to get into fire safety and become a fire risk assessor. Many fire risk assessors were employed due to their previous experience in relevant occupations such as firefighters or fire alarm fitters.

In the wake of the Grenfell Tower fire however, there is now only one route to get into fire safety and become a fire risk assessor with the new British Standard and that’s to complete a Level 3 Fire Risk Assessor course.

A Level 3 course is tricky to attack without any previous knowledge of the…
