Acorn experts release health and safety guide

We are thrilled to announce that we have launched a new no-nonsense health and safety guide.

The book, called ‘Fear and Loathing of Health and Safety – Stay out of Prison, Avoid Massive Fines and Cut Through the Red Tape’ has been written by two of Acorn Safety Services’ directors – Neil Munro and Ian Stone.

On its release last month it became a Number 1 bestseller on Amazon and it has gone on to attract a host of five-star reviews.

Why did Acorn want to release this Health and Safety guide?

Here, at Acorn Safety Services we know that lots of people view health and safety as a dry and arduous subject. They think of it as ‘over the top’ and associate it with the nanny state but in reality it’s there to keep us all safe and healthy.

We all have to comply with the Government’s stringent health and safety laws. This book helps cut through the technical and hard to understand regulations that are a massive headache for most people.

It offers readers a clear and concise understanding of the requirements placed upon them by Government and includes practical tasks to complete to help them become legally compliant.

What are reviewers saying about the health and safety guide?

“This guide was clear and informative, with up to date and relevant information, but written in an easy to understand way, with text broken down in a visually pleasing way. It includes the history of health and safety, a breakdown of the hierarchy of current regulations with where to find the most up to date information, some facts and figures which just bring home the importance of following the health and safety regulations. The book also goes on to discuss the importance of having an appointed Health and Safety person within your business, and how to figure out which way is the best to suit your business – plus some invaluable tips on finding the right consultant for you! This is just the tip of the iceberg as the book contains so much more than this. A great way to understand health and safety!”

“This book shares the very highest professional standards without all that legal gobbledygook. Health and Safety plus plain English is not something you imagine being combined in the same sentence – but this book does exactly that. Thoroughly recommend.”

“Truly the most useful guide I have found for our small consultancy practise. Really useful reference guide and more. I found that as we have expanded our business to 5-plus employees this was an invaluable tool. The guys at Acorn really know their stuff!”

“It really takes the fear away when you can read such a clear and easy guide. This book has signposted us and ensured we avoid the pitfalls of Health and Safety. Great read!”

“So refreshing to find a practical book with real experiences and straightforward guidance.”
