Employers’ liability insurance is the basic insurance that most businesses require
What business insurance do you need?
Most businesses will require “employers’ liability” insurance cover when you have employees. If an employee is injured or becomes ill from undertaking work for you, they may be able to claim for compensation. This is where having the right amount of cover can help you to meet the payment of the claim.
You should ensure that you are fully insured for all aspects of work being undertaken and that there are no exclusions written into your policy. A good example of an exclusion would be asbestos. Asbestos is usually excluded from insurance policies as standard due to the risks involved with asbestos work and is only included when the request is made usually by businesses that specialise in asbestos work.
