As leading health and safety experts, we make it our mission to be at the forefront of all that is going on in our industry, including knowing the latest trends, keeping up with any new legislation, and monitoring customer demand.

Because of this, we have recently reconfigured our Legionella Awareness Course to better fit the needs of our clients and the sector as a whole, putting updating the content and adding some additional information.

Course content

The newly composed course covers the history of legionella, as well as both hot water and cold-water systems, temperature monitoring and record keeping.

It also gives more detail on legionella itself, the medical aspects of Legionnaire’s Disease, statute and non-statute documents, water hygiene and water fittings regulations.

We also use specific case studies to highlight the problems legionella can cause in different scenarios, plus these identify best practice, provide specific advice and share technical guidance.

The course is two to three hours long, and there’s an additional option to add a monthly monitoring demonstration to enable participants to have a practical walk through of the information learned.

Who is it for?

It is perfect for anyone responsible for the maintenance of safe water in buildings, including landlords, business owners, facilities managers, and health and safety professionals.

It is vital to understand that if you are in charge of water system management, this requires specific knowledge and dedicated processes.

There is a great responsibility when it comes to the management of water systems and it is vital that anyone with a duty of care, whether that be a landlord, business owner or caretaker, takes the correct steps to ensure the safety of everyone in the building.

This course is a fantastic opportunity for people to take proactive steps to learn best practice when it comes to preventing legionella by improving their knowledge and seeking advice for systems and processes.
